Hey heyy #Insiders :)
Another tax season is upon us! During my start-up days, I had my "business wish list" ready to go. This was one of the main ways I bootstrapped my business in the early days. I was lean with my strategy and only looked for software/services/products with multiple uses.
Just like last year, before we dive into this thing...a few ground rules mmkay
First things first, file your taxes by whatever deadline they sit this year, lol. Ok? Ok!
Second, I generally support service-based businesses, but I can give you product pros a few pointers too.
Lastly, these suggestions are purely my opinion. While I'm not interested in debates -- I definitely encourage you to do your own research for additional information. #Google

Last year we talked about how:
Your business needs a home: My go-to is Squarespace! That's where we do most of our client work.
Your business needs a professional email address: I'm a Google gal, but Zoho is a free alternative.
Your business needs an automated on-boarding process: My CRM of choice is Dubsado, but it all depends on what you need the platform to do for you.
This year, we are going to cover more ways to invest in your business. Assuming the foundational work is done (the points above), you're ready to start doing the thing. I am a huge proponent of not reinventing the wheel. Once I've laid out my business goals, I do one of two things:
Hire a coach or,
Hire support
Basically, I need to learn a new skill, or I need someone to perform a skill set for me. The biggest roadblock for new business owners is not having the money to invest in quality help. Let your tax refund give you a jump start.
How do you know where to invest? Ask your business.
Do you have a clear offer? Do you have a solid strategy? If not, you might want to start with a coach.
Do you know where your target market is, but reaching them is a challenge? If this sounds like you, you may want to look into hiring for marketing support.
You've got the clients, you've got the outreach, but you feel spread too thin? Hiring for customer support should free you right up.
Let your business strategy and your goals guide your needs -- not social media. Coaches and trends come a dime a dozen, but your unique vision should be handled with intention.
A good bit of detail is packed into this email, and I'm totally down to answer questions if you have them. You can reply here or even head over to Beyond The Brand and ask in the Facebook group. Or, if you're looking for a coach #shamelessplug LOL -- let's finally sit down for your strategy session and knock out your plan for the rest of the year!
Stay mindful and double check the tax deadline!
